| Q. |
When do I need to start picking out my cabinets? |
| |
|
| A. |
It's never too early to start, but you may delay installation if you wait too late. Generally, you should have most of your design decisions made by the time the house is "dried in" (roof work is complete). Once the dry wall is installed, all measurements are confirmed and construction on your cabinets can begin. |

| Q. |
I saw a cabinet style I liked in a magazine. Can you duplicate it? |
| |
|
| A. |
We commonly get this request and we welcome any pictures you may have that will help convey your ideas. As a custom cabinet manufacturer, Excel Cabinets has the versatility and expertise to design and build most any traditional style wood cabinet. |

|
| Q. |
What's the difference between your custom cabinets and "store bought" cabinets? |
| |
|
| A. |
Unlike cabinets that can be purchased at most home–center stores, Excel Cabinets offers a true custom cabinet. Every cabinet is unique and made specifically for you and your home. You will never be limited by a manufacturer's catalog with Excel Cabinets. Our cabinets incorporate three–quarter inch box construction for strength, solid wood face–frames, and modern European style hinges and drawer slides. |

| Q. |
Is a down payment needed to begin building my cabinets? |
| |
|
| A. |
Yes. We ask for a 50% down payment at the time of bid acceptance. The final 50% due is required by delivery and installation. |
| |
|
| |
|
| Q. |
When should I pick out my appliances? |
| |
|
| A. |
You should make your appliance choices as early in the process as possible. The manufacturer, model number, and dimensions of your appliances must be known before your cabinets can be fully designed to custom fit your space. |

|
| Q. |
Do you provide counter tops? |
| |
|
| A. |
No, we do not include counter tops in our bid, nor do we handle installation of counter tops. However, we have manufacturer's samples in our showroom to help you in making selections and we can offer advice to help you finalize your design decisions. |

| Q. |
Does Excel Cabinets make furniture? |
| |
|
| A. |
We frequently design cabinets for our customers with built-in and/or furniture style features. These features might be decorative legs on a kitchen hutch, fluted casing on a living room bookcase/entertainment center, or decorative base or furniture legs on a study area desk. Adding these type furniture-style features give a room contrast and distinction. However, we do not make furniture. |
